Beschreibung
Fertility rapid test for qualitative detection of the sperm concentration of human semen and for carrying out an auxiliary clinical diagnosis of infertility and self-assessment of male fertility (fertility).
With the sperm test, you can test at home within a few minutes how high the probability is that you will be able to father children. The sperm rapid test measures the number of sperm in the sperm fluid. You can use the test to clarify whether a below-average number of sperm can be the reason why conception does not occur.
This sperm test kit is designed for the qualitative detection of the sperm count of human semen. The test provides insights into whether the sperm count is high enough to classify pregnancy during sexual intercourse as likely at the time of ovulation. A low sperm count may indicate that pregnancy is less likely. In this case, it is recommended to consult a doctor to discuss the further procedure. A positive test result only provides information about the number of sperm and not about their quality!
Test principle fertility rapid test (sperm concentration)
The SP-10 Rapid Test Cassette is a qualitative, lateral flow immunoassay for the detection of sperm concentration in male seminal fluid. The membrane is pre-coated with an anti-SP-10 antibody in the test line area of the test. During the test, the sample reacts with the particles coated with anti-SP-10 antibodies. The mixture migrates chromatographically upwards on the membrane by capillary action and reacts with the antibody on the membrane, resulting in staining within the test area. The presence of this colored line in the area of the test line indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result.
Contents Fertility Test Kit
1 foil bag with test cassette
1 collection cup
1 wind-up syringe
1 vial of buffer solution
1 Instructions
Test procedure sperm rapid test
- Collect the seminal fluid in the enclosed container. If some of the seminal fluid is lost, throw away the entire sample. Rinse the mug with tap water. Now wait again 48 hours, but no longer than 7 days, to obtain a new sample.
- Carefully swirl the container with the seminal fluid and then let it stand for about 60 minutes. If the seminal fluid has visibly liquefied, perform the test within 3 hours.
- Now carefully stir the seminal fluid in the cup with the syringe about 10 times.
- Insert the syringe into the seminal fluid in such a way as to avoid solid or sticky material. Now pull the syringe back exactly to the 0.1ml mark and thus absorb the seminal fluid. Avoid air bubbles by taking out the syringe more often and squeezing the air out and drawing up seminal fluid again.
- Open the buffer tube and now insert the syringe into the bottle opening and fill the entire sample amount (0.1ml) into the vial by pressing the syringe. Now screw the cap closed and mix the sample by carefully swinging the sample tube upside down 5-10 times.
- Now let the bottle stand for 2 minutes. After that, the semen sample should have mixed well with the solution. If this is not the case, swirl the bottle again.
- Now open the foil bag and remove the test cassette. Place them on a clean, dry and level surface.
- Twist the top (smaller, white) lid off the tip of the bottle. Hold the bottle of the seed mixture over the test cassette and add exactly 2 drops to the sample well (S). Please note that no liquid is applied to the result window – indicated by (T) and (C). Read the result 5-10 minutes after adding the sample. Before the 5 minutes have elapsed, low values can be overlooked, after more than 10 minutes false positives can occur.

Interpretation of the results of the fertility test
POSITIVE RESULT:
If you see both the control line (C) and the test line (T), the result is positive. It is irrelevant how strong or weak the test line is. A positive result means that your sperm count is at least 15 million per milliliter and that you have enough sperm to father a child. However, a positive result itself does not prove that you are fertile, because there are a number of other factors that can affect a man’s fertility. If you and your partner are unable to conceive a child after a few months of unsuccessful attempts, you should both see a doctor and undergo comprehensive fertility assessments.
NEGATIVE RESULT:
If you only see the control line (C) but NOT the test line (T), the result is considered negative. Their sperm count is below 15 million per milliliter. However, a negative result alone is not proof of infertility. Some men with sperm counts below this level can still conceive children naturally. In addition, your sperm count may vary from day to day. It is therefore possible that you will get a positive result if you do a retest after some time. However, we recommend that you discuss your test result with a doctor and do a full semen analysis. It is especially important to consult with a doctor if you and your partner have been trying to conceive a child for several months or more without success.
INVALID RESULT:
If you don’t see a control line (C) or only a test line (T), the test is not running correctly and is invalid. Check that you have followed all the points of the instructions for use exactly. Perform a new test with a new semen sample. Please note a waiting period of at least 48 hours before repeating the test, but no longer than 7 days after the last ejaculation.
