Barbiturate test: The Barbiturate (BAR) drug test strip can be used to detect the consumption of barbiturates by means of a urine sample. Medicines containing barbiturate acid derivatives act on the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid. Its effect triggers calming and sleep. In high doses, barbiturates even lead to general anesthesia!

Barbiturate Test Procedure:

Remove the barbiturate test strip from the packaging and dip it into the urine for about 15 seconds. Then place the test strip in a dry place and wait for the test result, which can be read after about 3 minutes.

Duration of detection: approx. 3 – 5 days

Interpretation of the results of the Barbiturate Rapid Test:

Two lines mean that the test is negative! A line in the control area „C“ means a positive result.
