Drug screening

Drug screeningThe term drug screening refers to various methods that serve to detect the presence of drugs in the human or animal organism. A drug screening is usually carried out if there is a suspicion of drug abuse in some form or if it is to be ruled out.

The analysis usually includes the type of drugs, the amount and duration of use, and the time of last drug use. Depending on the drug, different analytical methods are used.

Drugs can generally be detected in the blood, urine and saliva, but many can also be detected in the hair, fingernails and toenails, sweat, bones and teeth. A drug screening can also be carried out by yourself with suitable test material or ordered by official bodies, e.g. due to drug abuse at the wheel.

The simple procedure with test strips is safe and uncomplicated. These so-called rapid drug tests are based on antigen-antitest body reactions. If, for example, the tested person has alcohol or marijuana in the air or urine, the test strip will discolor accordingly. In principle, such rapid drug tests are particularly suitable for ruling out drug use. If the tested person is measured positive on the basis of a drug screening, a further examination, e.g. at a doctor, in the clinic or in an appropriate laboratory in order to be able to prove drug use 100%.

The rapid drug tests we offer and certified are used not only by private individuals, but also by companies, doctors and pharmacies.
