Beschreibung

The set includes 2 pieces of menopause test for menopause detection.

This FSH menopause test helps to detect and confirm the onset of menopause. The FSH hormone level can be reliably tested. Menopause completes menopause and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), also known as follitropin, together with luteinizing hormone (LH), plays an important role in regulating the female cycle.

The FSH Menopause Test is a rapid test to detect human follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) in a urine sample. The rapid test is used to assess whether existing symptoms are caused by menopause (perimenopause/menopause).

Menopause is the permanent end of menstruation. Clinically, the diagnosis of „menopause“ is only made when the woman has not had her period for a whole year. Menopause is a natural process of the body in a woman’s life. Menopause usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55 with perimenopause.

Signs of menopause

Depending on the woman, the signs of menopause vary. Some notice their menopause by the fact that menstruation is irregular at first and finally stops completely. Other symptoms include hot flashes, sleep disorders, vaginal dryness or hair loss. Before the period finally stops, the cycle is already irregular in many cases.

The hormone FSH stimulates the growth and maturation of eggs during a menstrual cycle. In women with a normal, regular cycle, the FSH level fluctuates and reaches its maximum value of about 25 mIU/mL in the middle of the cycle. Menopause is noticeable through changes in sex hormone levels and the resulting symptoms. As the body produces fewer estrogens, the production of FSH increases to stimulate estrogen production again. This leads to a significant increase in FSH levels, to an average of 66.5 mIU/ml to 91.6 mIU/ml.

Detection of menopause by means of the menopause test

The FSH Menopause Test measures the FSH concentration. This makes it possible to determine whether the tested person is in perimenopause or menopause. The test is a rapid immunochromatographic test and detects FSH levels above 25 mIU/ml by means of a urine sample. If FSH is present, it binds to anti-FSH antibodies on a test line. A procedural control is included in the menopause rapid test. A colored line appears in the control area (C) and serves as an internal positive procedure control. It confirms sufficient sample volume and correct use of the menopause rapid test.

Application FSH Menopause Test

Uncomplicated implementation and reliable results by urine test.

Urine is needed for the procedure, ideally the morning urine, as it contains the highest FSH value. The urine is risen in a container or disposable cup. Then hold the test stick in the urine for about 5 seconds until the marked line. The cup as a container is not part of the test set.

Procedure FSH menopause test:

  • Open the bag with the FSH test strip
  • Hold the test strip in the urine you have collected in the cup for about 5 seconds
  • Place the test strip on a clean and flat surface
  • Wait 3 – 5 minutes for the result.
  • After 15 minutes, the test result is invalid and may no longer be used as a result interpretation

How FSH Menopause Rapid Test Works

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a hormone whose concentration increases during menopause. The secretion of FSH leads to egg cell maturation. The secretion of the hormone LH (luteinizing hormone) at ovulation. With menopause, the secretion of the FSH hormone increases. The FSH rapid test determines whether the concentration of the FSH hormone in the urine is in or above the normal range (25 mIU/ml).
