Drugs at the Street Parade

Drugs are an integral part of the annual Street Parade.

It always takes place in August. The biggest techno party in the middle of Zurich. Many ravers use this event to party exuberantly, often under the influence of drugs.

The dark side of the mega party are the dealers who want to bring their illegal drugs to the party people.

Mostly it is about hard drugs such as cocaine, ecstasy, amphetamines and LSD. The most popular at the Street Parade are MDMA (ecstasy), which are taken in the form of pills. The problem is often the uncontrolled amount of active ingredients. Unfortunately, too often the amount of MDMA is far too high, which can be very dangerous for health. The pills are also often mixed with so-called cutting agents.

This makes educational work and the possibilities of subjecting the drug substance to a substance test all the more important here. It usually reliably indicates whether the drug is provided with cutting agents (purity content) or whether the drug is the purchased product at all.
