Beschreibung
The THC Multilevel Test (3 levels) is a urine rapid test for an orientational assessment of cannabis metabolites (THC-COOH) in urine – with three detection levels. Unlike a classic screening (only “positive/negative”), this set helps to roughly classify results into three ranges.
- Set of 3 separate test strips: 20 / 50 / 150 ng/ml
- Reacts to THC-COOH (cannabis metabolite in urine)
- Result in 3–5 minutes
- Helpful for trend tracking & interpretation between test time points (orientational)

How to use the THC Multilevel (3 levels) – step by step
- Collect a urine sample in a clean container (e.g., a cup).
- Dip one test strip (20 / 50 / 150) into the sample up to the (MAX) line for about 10–15 seconds.
- Remove the strip and place it flat on a clean, dry surface.
- Read the result after 3–5 minutes.
Result interpretation
Negative:
Two lines (C + T) visible → no indication of THC-COOH above the respective cut-off.
A faint test line (T) still counts as negative.
Positive:
Only the control line (C) visible → indication that THC-COOH may be above the respective cut-off.
Invalid:
No control line (C) visible → test invalid, please repeat with a new strip.
What does “Multilevel” mean in this 3-level set?
This product is not a single test, but a set of three separate THC urine test strips with different cut-offs:
20 ng/ml, 50 ng/ml and 150 ng/ml.
The idea: instead of only “positive/negative”, results can be classified orientationally into three ranges – especially useful across multiple test time points to better understand a possible change over time.
Detection levels (cut-off values): 20 / 50 / 150 ng/ml
A cut-off is the defined threshold above which a screening test is interpreted as “positive”.
The lower the cut-off, the more sensitive the test is to smaller concentrations. The higher the cut-off, the more selective.
| Level | Cut-off | Orientational interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 20 ng/ml | Very sensitive – can detect lower concentrations |
| Level 2 | 50 ng/ml | Commonly used international screening standard |
| Level 3 | 150 ng/ml | More selective – tends to react at higher concentrations |
Guidance for interpreting the 3 levels (orientational)
The examples below are not an evaluation, but typical screening interpretations.
Individual factors (metabolism, use pattern, cut-off, dilution) can vary widely.
Level 1 (20 ng/ml) positive
- Indication of low or declining THC-COOH concentrations
- Possible residual traces after earlier use
Level 2 (50 ng/ml) positive
50 ng/ml is a cut-off commonly used internationally for screening.
- Indication of moderate THC-COOH concentrations
- Possible recent or regular use
Level 3 (150 ng/ml) positive
- Indication of clearly elevated THC-COOH concentrations
- In trend tests, may suggest a change compared to earlier results
Orientational detectability of THC in urine
Urine rapid tests typically do not detect psychoactive THC itself, but the metabolite THC-COOH.
Detectability depends on use frequency, cut-off and individual factors, among others.
| Use pattern | Orientational detectability* |
|---|---|
| Occasional / single use | often a few days (e.g., ~2–3 days) |
| Regular use | often several days up to ~1–2 weeks (e.g., ~5–10 days) |
| Heavy / chronic use | multiple weeks possible (e.g., ~14–30 days or longer) |

Frequently asked questions about the THC Multilevel Test (3 levels) (FAQ)
What’s included in the test set?
Each strip is used and read individually.
Can I calculate the “THC amount” from a Multilevel result?
It is not a quantitative measurement. For definitive values, a laboratory analysis is required.
Why is 50 ng/ml often considered a “standard”?
The Multilevel set complements this with a more sensitive level (20) and a more selective level (150).
Which result combinations are typical?
Important: this is not a dose statement and depends heavily on individual factors and the sample.
What does a very faint test line (T) mean?
Line intensity is not suitable for estimating amounts.
Is the Multilevel test suitable for legal or medical decisions?
a confirmatory analysis in a qualified laboratory is required.
What exactly does the test measure – THC or something else?
This is formed during cannabis metabolism and excreted in urine.
